Length of Contract: 6 months
Tulip Siddiq MP is looking for an enthusiastic and responsible individual to join her busy team and support with casework and the running of her office. This will be a fixed-term contract for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
The position will be based primarily in Tulip’s constituency office in Hampstead and Highgate and there will also be opportunities to work from the Parliamentary office in Westminster. We are happy to discuss options for flexible working at any stage including part-time remote working, flexi-time, job shares and other forms of flexibility.
Key responsibilities
• Assist with surgeries and other meetings and follow up as appropriate.
• Respond to daily correspondence and enquiries from constituents.
• Engage professionally, confidentially and sensitively with members of the public, through telephone enquiries, emails, social media and face to face.
• Liaise with Government agencies, the voluntary sector and others to resolve issues facing constituents.
• Manage a large caseload of complex cases, exercising good judgement in taking decisions about how to procced and ensuring all identified actions are taken.
• Ensure all cases are logged in line with data protection legislation.
• Monitoring casework calls and logging cases.
• Proactively leading on individual projects and activities.
• Administrative duties and helping other members of the team as needed.
