Hampstead and Kilburn is home to a diverse set of communities and its success serves as a testament to the contribution that refugee communities have brought to Britain over the decades. I therefore wanted to add my voice to the Westminster Hall debate on refugees. I don’t believe the Government are doing enough to help refugees stuck in Europe, nor to deal with the problems at source.

Camden and Brent local authorities have led the way in offering help to Syrian families, and I look forward to working with them in future on this issue.
