The Great Pre Pay Rip Off

It is unacceptable that the poorest in our society are forced to pay the most for their energy bills when the cost of energy is falling.

It is estimated that prepayment metres cost Hampstead and Kilburn’s local economy £1.5m a year, with many individuals paying an extra £220 per year.

I will continue to call for real action in the energy market to recover the savings which thousands of families in my constituency deserve.

I was happy recently to join with my Parliamentary neighbour, Dawn Butler MP, in demanding that the Prepay Rip Off ends as soon as possible.
