This is a letter i sent to the local papers last week:
In tough times we need to think of creative solutions. The cuts to our local government budget mean we need clever ways of doing more with less. By working together we can tackle inequality and help support our communities.
That’s why I’m asking for your help.
In Camden, we have an Innovation and Development Fund which supports groundbreaking ideas and gives power to local communities to implement creative policies.
This fund will offer financial investment and a tailored support package to help develop great ideas that reduce inequality and enable Camden residents to reach their full potential.
I’m asking for your ideas on the We Are Camden website (www.wearecamden.org). The deadline for submitting applications is 12 August 2012. Any Camden residents or local voluntary and community groups can apply.
So, if you think you have an idea that will really make a difference to the residents of Camden, this is your chance to make it happen.
