Gaza

So much for blogging more regularly!

It’s been an exhausting week at work with Gaza and the Heathrow expansion. Oh and I had to deal with several letters about Prince Harry’s behaviour. (Does anyone else think that we have more important things to worry about?)

Anyway I’ve just heard that Ehud Olmert has said he wants Israeli troops to leave Gaza as quickly as possible so let’s see what happens now. I just hate turning on the news every morning and seeing more children being killed. It needs to stop immediately and I really wish our world leaders would be more forceful about condemning Israel especially Obama. He’s been too reticent for my liking.

On a different note, take a look at Cllr Theo Blackwell’s comments on the failure of Camden Council to respond to the global financial crisis here.

It looks like local people are sick of the lack of action and have taken the initiative to arrange a meeting themselves. If you’re interested in attending, it’s taking place in Committee Room 3A at Camden Town Hall, Judd Street, WC1 on January 26 at 7pm. There’s more information here.
