It was wonderful to have students from UCL Labour join me on the campaign trail along with Bristol East MP Kerry McCarthy – we had a very fruitful day talking to residents (as well as a rousing speech over lunch!)

I was pleased to join Sadiq Khan MP, Shadow Minister for London, at Queen’s Park station to highlight the impact of Boris Johnson’s proposed ticket office closures – which are happening at the same time as inflation-busting fare increases. I was delighted to speak at the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust Centre along with Diane Abbott MP and Nick De Bois MP on Tuesday. We spoke about a range of topics, including the importance of increasing voter registration amongst BAME communities.

The Olympics highlighted the borough’s volunteering potential in the form of Camden’s Welcome the World programme. 150 local residents came together to provide help and support to visitors during the Games.
