February 2008 – Tulip for Fortune Green!

January 24, 2008 at 5:24 pm / by

I am officially the Labour candidate for the Fortune Green council by-election on the 21st February 2008 (London Borough of Camden)!

I am interested in dealing with issues that are important to local people in Fortune Green – planning and development issues, problems surrounding social housing, crime, recycling and waste disposal, concerns with public transport, parking and traffic. I will not only get involved in tackling these concerns, but would also like to engage with young people in the area so that I can address the root causes of youth disenchantment in the Labour Party.

I am an enthusiastic campaigner and I was heavily involved in the Haverstock by-election last year. Having worked on several local and national elections, I am experienced in campaign planning and implementation, door-to-door canvassing, training canvassers, supporting fundraising functions, delivering leaflets and manning polling booths.

I am currently on the West Hampstead Action Team, a member of the Camden Bangladesh Mela Committee and on the Kilburn and West Hampstead Neighbourhood Partnership Board. If selected I will involve myself further in the community and I will listen to constituents’ queries and work hard to address the issues in the area. I hope you will select me as your prospective Councillor in Fortune Green so I can be an asset to the Labour Party both locally and nationally.

I will definitely need lots of help during the campaign, so if you can spare any time then please contact me by clicking here!
