A busy start to the weekend…

Early in the morning I met with the (brilliant) local Labour party members and Sarah (my agent) to discuss the leaflets that we will be distributing in Fortune Green in the run-up to the election. The biggest problem was cramming everything I wanted to say onto one piece of paper!

I then met a group of current Camden Labour councillors who were all extremely supportive and had some great ideas for the campaign.

I was really happy to fulfil my role as Women’s Officer for London Young Labour by working at an anti-racism concert in Whitechapel called ‘Banding Against the BNP’. The venue was packed, the music was excellent and it was a great opportunity to recruit volunteers for my campaign days when we will be going door-to-door in Fortune Green. There were a number of politicians at the event, and I enjoyed an entertaining speech by John Biggs (GLA member).
